“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing”
~ Edmund Burke
I had a piece written for today’s posting and choose to relegate it and promote this message in its stead. Is it possible for a movement to bring a grown man to tears? I can emphatically say “YES”! I woke up to this:
I was curious, so many friends had posted this picture over Facebook and I wanted to know why? I watched a 30 minute documentary style film that explained everything. It moved me to tears for two reasons, 1) people do care about more than themselves in our consumer motivated world and 2) real change is being made through social media. The purpose of connecting with others should be to take a stance on issues just like this.
This is a human problem, which far exceeds the importance of political and religious issues. I decided to write this because I have a voice and I feel like it’s a movement worth supporting. I love people, anyone who knows me can tell you this. I won’t go into a diatribe or bio about Joseph Kony. Like me, I’d like you to watch this short film and understand completely what this movement means. If you’ve read this far, you’re probably curious.
I will end with this, don’t forget the purpose of this film. We often stand for something and then our motivation wanes. Don’t let this movement stop, continue to make the wheels turn. Love is stronger than hate and People everywhere MATTER.
